  • There's multiplayer, but two or three people are playing it, leading to large empty maps, and an additional story mode on top of the main one if you absolutely can't get enough of the same old tired shooting sequences. Also, the game's visuals are about as old and tired, despite CI claiming it looks gorgeous. This is to say nothing of the graphical glitches and regular hard crashes, all of which do very little to further endear the game to me.

  • Other than its lackluster multiplayer that contains just as many bugs as its main campaign along with its horrible matchmaking services, Enemy Front offers almost no replay value. Ultimately, Enemy Front's lowered price of $39.99 doesn't warrant the purchase of a game this broken from start to finish.

  • Enemy Front is a valiant effort with a few original twists on the familiar military format, but its solid multiplayer component and sizeable solo locales can’t make up for a distinct lack of polish. Indeed, the horrendous framerate issues, game breaking glitches, and poor presentation make this a cause that’s not really worth fighting for – even if you won’t want to turn your back on it straight away.

  • An ambitious effort that does not come together quite as well as it could have, Enemy Front is an entertaining experience that offers a wide variety of action in locales rarely visited.

  • There's nothing offensive about it, it's just subpar in every possible way, from AI to controls to visuals to voice acting. Feels like a launch window 360 game.

Enemy Front's attempt to show a different side of war is thwarted by awful AI and behind-the-times combat that can't support the emphasis it puts on stealth and sniping. The multiplayer could have been a saving grace, but it's so threadbare that a sizable player community seems highly unlikely.

  • Enemy Front lands in that unfortunate middle area where its faults aren't bad enough to leave a painfully lasting negative impression, but its key moments are too generic to be memorable. At a party 10 years from now, I'll suddenly recall the V2 rocket sabotage mission or the Warsaw siege chapter, yet I will have forgotten what game these scenes were from.

  • It’s unpolished, has terrible enemy AI, impossible stealth, boring multiplayer, a badly-told story, last-gen graphics, and the shooting is merely okay. The only above-average things I can say about it is that the loading screens are nice and the music is neatly rousing, like the old Medal of Honor games. If you absolutely must play a World War Two shooter that isn’t focused on sniping and doesn’t have killer robot dogs, then it’s probably best to play through Call of Duty: World At War again because Enemy Front is not worth your time.

  • CI Games don’t lack ambition – but they do appear to lack the ability to bring those ambitions to full fruition. A tragic step back from the above-average Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, Enemy Front is a turgid, listless affair with far too many problems to recommend. Terrible AI, truly awful graphics and a dull plot add up to make this a World War II shooter that you’ll want to avoid like a Nazi death squad. Disappointing and derivative.

    About the game

Intense Combat, Sniping, Stealth and Sabotage – all are viable approaches for the player, maximizing player engagement and replayability. Against the visceral backdrop of breathtaking European locales, the player takes on the role of American Robert Hawkins, as he fights hand in hand with Resistance Fighters opposing the Nazi juggernaut in France, Germany, Norway, and during the Warsaw Uprising.
