  In the end, it’s just another free-to-play game, albeit with a nice quality to it. It’s still free-to-play, it still requires as much skill as it requires time and money if you want to get anywhere. But it succeeds in eradicating most of the irritating stuff, and it looks good. So, it definitely looks better than its competitor

  Its combination of engaging gameplay and good looks should be a winner, and even if it gets lumped in with other strategy titles in the minds of mobile gamers, at least it should emerge as the first thing people think of when they hear its name. I think Zynga would like that.

  Empires & Allies is certainly polished, and while the battles aren't exactly RTS level, there's enough planning here that you feel like you've had some effect on the outcome of the fight. If you're looking for another base-building midcore strategy title, then this is one that's well worth considering.

  Empires & Allies si cimenta con un genere parecchio inazionato, ma nonostante ciò riesce a introdurre qualche elemento di stacco e qualche idea interessante. Non guardate la fase gestionale: quella è n troppo tradizionale, con i suoi tempi di attesa, un solo "addetto ai lavori" per la costruzione degli edici (se ne vogliamo di più bisogna pagare) e potenziamenti molto lenti da sbloccare. No, la parte migliore dell'esperienza è quella strategica, quando si scende in campo per combattere ed è possibile, pur con qualche importante limite, utilizzare varie tattiche e il supporto delle abilità speciali per rovesciare situazioni apparentemente disperate e conquistare un'altra zona per allargare l'impero.
