    If you have a couple of bucks to spare, Dungelot is the way to go. For those who have exhausted that game, or those who aren't keen to spend money, I can now at least say that Dungelot 2 is almost as good. Those are far kinder words than Alternate Timeline Shaun had to offer, I can say that much.

    Dungelot 2 is not a perfect game, but definitely is extremely fun - and important. It is a game that somehow overcomes almost all of the problems generally associated with being free-to-play, while also refusing to water-down what made it fun in the first place; which for me, is a notable and outstanding achievement.

    Going free-to-play means the maker of Dungelot 2 is compelled to repeatedly dangle in-app purchases in front of the player, but the impeccable presentation and addictive gameplay ensure that it's still better than the original.
