  • Nitpicks aside, I don’t think that Dreaming Sarah is a bad game, just that it is a great proof of concept that could use more polish. But for an average list price of around $5, I may be asking for too much. Head into the game with an open mind and prepare to think outside the box and you may be pleasantly surprised. Overall it was an ok, if not great, experience and worth taking a look at.

  • Overall, Dreaming Sarah is an intriguing platformer. The surreal world is fun to explore, all wrapped in great pixel art and an excellent soundtrack. There’s plenty of variety in the gameplay with extra moves to unlock and some devilish puzzles to solve. Despite its short length, it’s worth checking out if you’re after something different yet memorable in the genre.

  • In summary, Dreaming Sarah is an inside look at the subconscious told through platforming and light puzzling. its short runtime is perfect for a rainy afternoon in or something to play quickly as a pallet cleanser between larger games.

  • Dreaming Sarah makes for a fun adventure with atmospheric music, but you will spend the entire experience thinking, ‘what on Earth was that?’. It’s a shame that it’s so short, as I’d have liked to see more of it.

  • All in all, Dreaming Sarah on Xbox does skew more towards the good dream rather than the nightmare. The game is mostly a visual treat with fantastic music, and it is dripping with endearing dream logic; something which is even more impressive when you consider it is primarily the effort of three creators.
