- Dino Dini's Kick Off Revival fails to recapture the magic of old, and the outdated gameplay combined with a lack of features means this is simply a forgettable arcade football game. Those with nostalgia for the original Dino Dini games might get a few kicks out of this for old time's sake, but most people are probably happier avoiding this one.

Kick Off Revival can be okay in short bursts, but the sheer weight of issues with the game make it hard to recommend to anybody other than fans of the original Kick Off games. And even they will likely be disappointed.

It's one of the few games I've played in recent years that I've had to demo to others, just so I know it's a real game. If you want a retro take on football, this is not it. If you want a retro take on how to make a terrible game, you're in luck.

It doesn't even feel barebones; instead, it feels like basic gameplay elements stacked on top of one another. Everything is messy, incomplete and generally broken, and it's hard to tell if it is supposed to be this way, or if everything is just poorly designed. When all is said and done, though, this is just a bad game, and there's no other way to put it.

And where Rocket League draws spirit from teamwork and chaos, this reboot feels unfinished, malnourished, and ripe for game-breaking exploitation. This might one day get better, but The Digital Lounge needs to up its game significantly if Dino Dini wants to once again play in the big leagues.

The lack of authority you have over your squad is frustrating and the lack of modes, tactics, rules, and freedom makes this game the San Marino of International football, and to be fair, that’s a disservice to them.

Un producto indigno que necesitaba más horas en el taller. Una colocación de jugadores lamentable en el campo que, sin fuera de juego y con faltas discutibles, provoca situaciones del todo delirantes que acaban en gol contrario. Su nula preocupación por hacer un producto competente se nota hasta en la selección de las fuentes de texto en sus menús. Una pena.

Das ist schlimmer anzusehen als Kroatien gegen Portugal bei der EM. Selbst wenn ich allen Anspruch an Präsentation, Kulisse & Co weglasse, weil mein altes Retroherz immer noch für Amiga & Co schlägt, bleibt eine steinzeitliche Arcade-Mechanik übrig, die einfach nur nervig ist.
