  • The final season for Destiny 2's Shadowkeep expansion takes us closer to a confrontation with Savathun and the Darkness. Featuring a fantastically designed dungeon with intricate mechanics, along with a new public event and the Umbral Engrams focusing system, Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals is already leaps and bounds ahead of the two previous releases. Unfortunately, these seem to be the only things we'll be doing for now other than the usual Moments of Triumph and Solstice of Heroes events. The lack of content (announced or otherwise) proves that it's time to reevaluate Destiny 2's presentation to its die-hard fanbase.

  • So let’s have it, Bungie. Give us the goods and keep it coming. There are bound to be more and more Destiny-like games in the future, including EA’s Anthem in 2018 and Borderlands 3, which is rumored to be a lot like Destiny. The ball is in the Seattle studio’s court though. They’re the kings of the persistent world shooter. Let’s see how long they can keep that crown. I’m officially a fan, and having Destiny 2 on PC is exactly what I’d hoped for all along.

  • Destiny 2 for consoles was already a stellar game that's made even better when the shackles of a console's limited hardware are removed. Uncapped framerates, an adjustable field of view and true 4K visuals make this PC experience impossible to top.

  • While it does have the potential to further fragment the community, Destiny’s entry into the PC sphere has a much more important and beneficial effect – spreading the fun and thrill of this game universe to a new segment of players, and adding fuel to the desire many harbor for this franchise to continue to gain steam.

  • Destiny 2 has its share of issues, a lot of them to be frank, but it’s still an entertaining adventure that the developers have properly improved. The shooting mechanics are some of the best in the business, and the art team has done an amazing job in bringing this futuristic universe to realization. With that said, it’s not a monumental leap, feeling less like a sequel and more like an overloaded expansion. That’s not to mention the worlds, while beautiful, are less memorable than most of what the original game had to offer.e.

  • Gorgeous guns, a glittering universe, and a great port. Destiny 2 is an endgame away from true excellence.

  • As far as the content schedule is concerned, the launch of Destiny 2 on PC will mirror the first two weeks of the console version. The Leviathan Raid will debut a week after release, and Trials of the Nine will begin the following weekend. Once the first two weeks conclude, the PC version will remain in sync with the content schedule and patches of the console versions

  • In true Destiny fashion, if you do something once, you'll probably end up doing it many more times. The difference with Destiny 2 is in the variety and accessibility of what's available, which cuts down on a lot of the frustration associated with grinding.

  • Destiny 2 is… broad. It is a showcase of improvement and compromise. It is a time vacuum. It’s hard to not enjoy playing Destiny 2, yet still possible to dislike a fair portion of it. This game is a resurgence of excitement and enjoyment that began to fade late into the life of Destiny. It is, through and through, a better, more refined experience. Your Guardian’s journey will continue to grow through expansions and the inevitable third instalment. The community will keep sharing their stories and ideas. Weapons will rise and fall, classes will be reborn and destroyed. But, much like the original, Destiny 2 will be a second home for me and my friends. A place we can share laughs, hardships, defeat, and joy. That, in part, is what makes the Destiny 2 universe worth visiting: the brilliance of quality game design bringing people together.

  • It's easy for me to sit here now and complain about a bunch of features that I wish weren't missing from the game, but when I'm actually playing it, those complaints seem trivial, because I'm having so much fun.
