- Demon’s Crystals is a decent game considering the price, but if you’re looking for local co-op mayhem, there are better titles to choose from. There might be some appeal in the character art style, but the only time you can really even see it as at the selection screen. Don’t expect to make out any minute details on your hero as the screen fills with color and mayhem.
Nicholas Plouffe · May 26, 2017 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - It doesn’t help that the presentation’s just so unsatisfying. A big honking minigun should have some kick to it, but the magical projectiles just feel floaty, felling enemies without fanfare. The music is repetitive and instantly annoying – I muted the game halfway through world one and started catching up on some podcasts instead. I’ve played through the entire campaign, finished several survival runs, and goaded my roommates into some multiplayer matches, and yet throughout my time with Demon’s Crystals I just felt nothing. In a month I doubt I’ll even be able to remember the name of the game. Even for $4, I can think of vastly better ways to spend your time and money. Ah, well. At least the port runs smoothly.

It can get a little confusing with the amount of enemies and bullet fire on-screen at one time as to where certain hazards and even your own character’s are, so pay close attention!
Toby Mortaro · Jan 16, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Although this game seems very stable and well built, I do have a few issues with the game play itself. My biggest gripe is the lack of variety in both objectives and character abilities. What starts off as fun, bullet hell, arcade action quickly becomes repetitious and rather boring.
Elliott Gill · Sep 24, 2017 Reviewed on PS4 - This game also had no issues with glitches or any problems with lag which is always a positive. Myself I wouldn’t recommend this purchase other than if you have any spare change left in your Store Wallet.
Robert Snell · Jul 11, 2017 Reviewed on PS4 - Good games make headlines and bad games will also generate column inches, the one thing you don’t want you game to be is average, but sadly that is what Demon’s Crystals is. It plays perfectly well and is free from problems and bugs, but it’s totally forgettable without a speck of originality. At just £3.99, it’s a good price for a few hours entertainment if you have some friends on the couch to play with.
