- As an example of going so far off the deep-end of irony and taking everything to the highest of extremes, however, this game delivers and knocks it out of the park. Over the top doesn’t even begin to describe just how insane this whole concept is. Not even the game itself, the concept of it was insane. There’s no way this game isn’t meant to be intentionally “bad,” and it’s probably the first of it’s kind I played without realizing it.
Steven Stites · Dec 22, 2014 Reviewed on PCRead full review - ...considering that they suffer from the same issues that plague the core game, you’re probably best leaving this raider in the tomb.
Leif Johnson · Jan 08, 2014 Reviewed on X360 - It's an uninspired retread of good concepts, and an unfortunate visitor into a genre with some genuine giants. It might take you on a long trip across the globe to visit some attractive locations, but by the end the only temples I cared for were throbbing away in my head.
Craig Pearson · Nov 27, 2013 Reviewed on PCRead full review - In the end, Deadfall Adventures is a fun romp in a B-movie sort of way. I like to compare it to a poor-man’s Indiana Jones movie that you might see late at night on cable. Much like the “Temple of Doom”, Deadfall Adventures is enjoyable but in the end has a few too many issues. Do not get me wrong it is a good game, just don’t go in expecting a high production value or something that will blow your socks off.
Matt Cullen · Nov 21, 2013 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Deadfall Adventures tries its best to mix first-person shooting with the puzzle solving of adventure titles. Unfortunately, the gunplay is buggy, the puzzles are hackneyed, and the story is hopelessly bad. If you're expecting anything remotely fun, prepare to be disappointed.
Jeff Marchiafava · Nov 21, 2013 Reviewed on X360 - Glitches, stereotypical characters, and dull combat betray any chance of Deadfall Adventures providing any real incentive for your troubles. Digging into this game yields not a rough-cut gem, but rather a lump of coal that should have stayed buried.
Cameron Woolsey · Nov 18, 2013 Reviewed on PCRead full review - ...Deadfall fails to deliver on either of its promises. A real shame
Jon Blyth · Nov 13, 2013 Reviewed on X360 - ...a poor man’s imitation, a thoroughly bad videogame and one which, most frustratingly, is bad in uninteresting ways
Edge Staff · Nov 13, 2013 Reviewed on X360 - Deadfall Adventures isn’t actually a terrible game. The dialogue is dumb, AI companions have an unnerving tendency to teleport behind you, it’s far glitchier than it should be, but somehow it’s also not unlikeable. It can be very easy to fall into a pleasant haze of gaming once you get used to its issues, shooting enemies and searching for goodies as the levels go by.
James Cunningham · Nov 13, 2013 Reviewed on PCRead full review - We wouldn’t recommend that you stay away from Deadfall, but it’s hard to recommend it too, especially as everything it features has already been done better elsewhere; and with the Christmas period coming up, saving your cash may end up being the wiser option.
