Microsoft pitched Forza Motorsport 7 as the ultimate automotive playset, and it’s hard to argue otherwise. With enough cars to fill a dozen museums and the most generous selection of tracks to date in the series, the amount of driving, experimenting, and racing here is absolutely mammoth. Accessible as always for beginners but crammed with content targeted at lifelong car junkies, Forza Motorsport 7 is Turn 10’s finest love letter to speed and style this generation, no matter what language you speak.

  • Dead By Daylight isn’t bad, but it just feels unnecessary, especially on the Switch. It’s not that it runs terribly or anything, but this isn’t a game that can be played on-the-go, and it’s not the cheapest, best-looking or the most feature-complete of its home console ports.

  • While the gameplay might seem repetitive and “done before”, Dead by Daylight is still going strong for a reason. I believe it is because of the intense atmosphere the game creates and its ability to deliver exactly what players may want, which is feeling like they are on the edge, scared, and running for their life. On the other hand, as “The Killer”, you will most likely feel that ‘rush’ as you close in and capture that last survivor before they escape and put them on the hook…literally.

  • I love the game, and while I was excited to get to play it on a handheld format, its lagginess, framerate issues and massive graphical downgrade mean that I just can’t recommend it on Switch. If you’re still tempted to give it a try, perhaps wait a month or two and see if any patches come out to fix some of the current painful and glaring issues. Until then, the price simply isn’t worth what you get. Stick to playing it on another format; trust me, you’ll have a much better experience.

  • Behaviour has done the bare minimum: a mostly functional port of the full game running well enough on Nintendo’s console. I like this game; I enjoyed this port, but at the price Behaviour is charging they need to go further if they truly want Dead by Daylight for the Switch to succeed, especially when there are better ports at similar or lower prices. Competence is fine, but it’s not always enough to survive the night.

  • The asymmetrical multiplayer genre seems to be a real tough nut to crack with each heavy hitter coming out swinging, only to be plagued by nuances that trip up the experience and expose debilitating cracks in the mechanics. Unfortunately, it seems that Dead by Daylight suffers much the same fate. It’s honestly really good fun, but the more you play the more its issues rear their head and become points of ire.

  • The kid in me felt ecstatic when he learned Dead by Daylight existed, but he pouted a little when he finally got his hands on it. It isn’t a terrible game by any means, and the discounted price tag makes it a decent value proposition but something about it feels hollow. The premise is amazing, and your first hour or two with the game is stellar, but the long term enjoyment you’ll get out of it depends on what level of tedium you’re willing to tolerate.

  • If I had a choice between playing Dead by Daylight or Friday the 13th: The Game, I really would have a hard time deciding between the two. Both are fun in their own right, and for someone who usually doesn’t play online games, I’ve found myself sinking several hours into each one of them (not just for review purposes). If it came down to deciding on a survivor-only game I’d have to go with Dead by Daylight, but if there was a game where I could only be a killer, it’ll have to be Friday the 13th: The Game. Either way, both games are great and having the option to choose between the two makes me a happy gamer!

  • The mouse-like controls in the menus, coupled with the fact that most all the actions are mapped to the triggers and shoulder buttons, makes it feel like whoever ported this doesn't play consoles to begin with (thankfully you can remap the controls). The bugs and ugly graphics might be excusable if the game were fun to play, but to me, it just isn't due to a lack of balance and the need to work with your team in an era where no one talks to strangers in online games anymore.

  • If you love co-op or horror or both, I highly recommend checking out Dead by Daylight. It offers a refreshing take on so many different game mechanics. This title really does bring something unique to the table. Aside from a couple of minor issues the console release really live up to the legacy that Dead by Daylight has already fostered since its initial release. If you’re in the market for a great co-op gaming experience in a unique setting this game will deliver.

About the game

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed. Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.
