    I find it notable that the Roads to Power DLC has ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam. I love Paradox games, and love a new expansion, but there are a lot of the things and they tend to get expensive. If you look at the Steam reviews Hearts of Iron or Stellaris DLC, you will find a lot of people questioning whether the expansion is worth the price. That does not seem to be the conversation around Roads to Power. This is the kind of expansion pack Paradox grand strategy fans dream of and hopefully, it sets a new benchmark for the future of Crusader Kings.

    Roads to Power is zonder twijfel de meest indrukwekkende uitbreiding die Crusader Kings III tot nu toe heeft gekend. De twee nieuwe speelstijlen brengen een frisse en boeiende dynamiek in de game. Vooral het politieke systeem rond de Byzantijnen en andere keizerrijken biedt een fascinerende uitdaging vol intriges en strategische keuzes. Het landless systeem introduceert een compleet nieuwe speelervaring, waarbij je niet langer gebukt gaat onder onderdanen of erfproblemen, en biedt de vrijheid om je eigen weg te kiezen. Hoewel dit systeem soms te maken heeft met herhalende quests en events, biedt het toch veel variatie in hoe je je avonturen kunt vormgeven.

    Crusader Kings 3 Roads to Power is the best expansion the game has had so far, purely because of its focus on new gameplay systems that let you approach how you play the game a little differently than before. The new Byzantine content is a breath of fresh air for the best aspects of CK's gameplay, while the Adventurer playstyle could do with a little more to make it fun beyond your first go.
