    Constructor HD was actually delayed multiple times, so System 3 presumably encountered some difficulties in development. Whether that is the explanation for the result, which just barely toes the line of average but gets pulled back down by its price and its launch day DLC, or if it was a bit of a cash grab is anyone’s guess. As it is, this is not worth purchasing.

    Overall Constructor is a fun game that can, however, prove taxing for most players. The amount of detail you have to absorb, the demanding control system and the steep learning curve could put many gamers off. But if you persevere with it, there is fun to be had. For anyone looking for an alternative to the more serious city builders such as Sim City and Aven Colony, Constructor is worth giving a try. It’s not as polished as we’d like and its far from perfect.

    Para quienes echábamos mucho en falta este tipo de juegos o para los que añoren el primer Constructor esta versión retocada puede ser una solución que nos recuerde cómo era descubrir los mecanismos que hacían que las partidas de los juegos de gestión salieran adelante a base de ir afinando pequeños detalles, pero para nuevos jugadores o quienes deseen una construcción más reposada puede ser demasiado estresante e intenso.

    Die Mischung aus Wohnungsbau, Ressourcen-Management und taktischer Mieterauswahl auf der einen und klassischer Echtzeit-Strategie auf der anderen Seite ist immer noch ungewöhnlich und macht neugierig. Doch nicht nur die Bugs, die sich auch u.a. in der Wegfindung bemerkbar machen, drücken die Motivation nach unten.

    Constructor HD a davantage des allures de madeleine de Proust que d'un jeu destiné à attirer les nouveaux venus dans son giron et ne ravira donc que celles et ceux ayant aimé l'épisode d'origine. Si l'interface améliorée, l'humour grinçant et les mécaniques de gestion sympathiques n'ont pas trop pris de l'âge, les trop rares améliorations ne parviennent pas à rehausser un jeu qui globalement aura du mal à trouver sa place dans son époque.
