  • If it feels a bit like the Go series of games, the familiality will be delightfully excused; the time manipulation concept works well to create interesting solutions. Because of the design, one is also able to correct mistakes at the point of creation, and also play around with different paths. It plays as easy as itis to get into it, and has plenty of levels available.

  • With its lovely aesthetics and unique mechanics, Causality is a satisfying challenge that will make you feel pretty darn accomplished for getting through it. If brains need workouts to get stronger, I can guarantee that Causality will have your brain doing some handstand pushups in no time.

  • The first time you play, Causality greets with you with fantastic ominous, futuristic music and soft-colored appealing visuals along with challenging puzzle gameplay that’s quite easy to get into, and if you make a mistake, you can quickly retry again. While there’s not much to gripe about the core game, more levels are desperately needed, as 60 are just too few.

  • Causality is absolutely brilliant. But, because it's difficult with its own rules, solutions can feel arcane and tough to come by, too. And thinking when time isn't linear can be tricky, too! Causality is a fantastic game, one I've enjoyed my time with, even if it has left my brain a gooey mush. If you have the patience and the knack for time-bending puzzles, check it out. Even if it doesn't sound like it's up your alley, do consider it, at least!

  • The puzzles themselves start off easy enough, but then things gradually pick up and become intricate and challenging. It’s just a perfect treat for puzzle lovers.

  • My frustration with it is not due to the game’s difficulty -- it is not severely hard at all. The frustration stems from the terrible game design that absolutely bludgeons freedom into a pulp and annihilates any semblance of player choice. This game offers you as much freedom to reach your objective as Ryse: Son of Rome did, and frankly; if you manage to make Time Travel boring, is time to reevaluate how you design games.

  • Causality crafts challenging puzzles out of its clever time loop mechanics and colorful isometric aesthetic.

  • Causality takes the tried and true time mechanic many puzzle games use, and gives it a lot of depth. By pacing the introduction of new mechanics, and just being incredibly charming, Causality shows it knows how to mix form and function, and leaves gamers with an experience they truly can't get anywhere else. Its flaws are minor, and this leftfield title is sure to keep you playing with time for a while.
