    Cardinal Quest 2 is a retro turn-based roguelike indie RPG where we pick a class and then battle our way through one of its three acts while acquiring xp to level up our skills before reaching the boss at the end of the act.

    If you like roguelikes, this is an easy decision. If you even like the idea of roguelikes, or enjoy a nice, fast-paced, light RPG experience, you should definitely give this a try. It's pretty much everything you could ask for in a sequel.

    When Cardinal Quest 2 gets into its well-worn groove, it's a perfectly acceptable roguelike. And there's enough new content, characters, and levels to unlock to keep you playing for a good long while. But that play just isn't robust enough to really spark the imagination, and the subject matter just isn't different enough from the swathes of other fantasy roguelikes on the App Store.
