  • Overall, Card Shark is a unique title with an interesting animation style and equally interesting cheating concept, all set far from today’s modern world. These elements combine to create a fun and engaging game that will leave a lasting impression.

  • Card Shark is absolutely the most thrilling card game out there, made even more impressive by the fact that you don’t actually do much by way of playing cards. This scintillating sleight of hand title has inadvertently taught me a lot about card tricks, all set to gorgeous Baroque music and stunningly illustrated scenes. The mechanics may feel a little difficult at times due to an onslaught of varied controls, but once you master them, you’ll feel like a card comte(ss) yourself.

  • Whatever the path may hold, all that players can and would experience in Card Shark is beautifully put together, with a fascinating narrative matched by a vibrant and outstanding aesthetic, and propped up by wonderfully inventive gameplay that puts the player in the eye of the storm. In fact, it almost feels like the game has everything stacked in its favor, just like the different plots at play in the quiet confines of high society.

  • Card Shark is a delight. It's a card game like no other and as someone who never could do any magic tricks, now I feel enlightened as to how trickery could be afoot with just the smallest flex of a finger.

  • As the depth increases the level of actual fun drops. Card Shark needs to tweak its mechanics to make them more accessible while showing players why these virtual tricks are worth mastering.

  • Card Shark is a clever and charming game whose engaging plot and gameplay focus on being a great cheat over being a master player gives it a unique personality.

  • Card Shark is a visual treat. The stunning medieval tapestry style aesthetics creates a certain whimsy that permeates. The storybook-style presentation also delivers a layer of charm. As you enter a new setting, you’ll notice minor details that inhabit the environment which adds further personality. The accompanying orchestral symphonies perfectly build suspense and help to firmly establish it in an era. This delicious combination makes for an incredible and unique experience.

  • Don’t get me wrong, the concepts won’t exactly give you the dexterity you need to do these tricks yourselves, but the proper utilization of them throughout the game was a fun aside to a story that’s really about digging into the backroom secrets of 18th century aristocracy. With fun animation, narrative, and music to sell that venture, Card Shark comes out with a purse that’s far more full than it is light.
