    I enjoyed Card Dungeon enough that I’m looking forward to trying out some of the other traits. Card Dungeon isn’t going to take you long to master, but hopefully you can find enough value in messing around with the traits to come back to it a few times. Card Dungeon's simplicity makes it ideal for casual players who haven't played a roguelike before, while experienced players will have to create their own fun to get much out of it.

    I feel like all of the pieces of an interesting, fun game are laying around here somewhere, but they just never really come together the way they should, leaving the adventure lacking as a whole. It has a winning presentation, I'll give it that, and it at least made me think about my strategy on a fairly regular basis, but ultimately, the game irritated me more often than it enchanted me.

    Card Dungeon has the same aesthetics, but nowhere near the same depth and humor, and unless you just really like the idea of a roguelike in the shape of a tabletop game, it’s quite possible you’re going to be disappointed.

    Card Dungeon is an interesting take on what could have been just another boring dungeon crawler, with a fantastic premise, addictive gameplay, and gorgeous visuals. If you’re looking to get started within the realm of roguelikes, this whimsical title could be a fantastic entry ticket.

    Card Dungeon is a bizarre mash-up of genres that works better than I'd expected. It's more about dungeon exploration than card collection, but it manages to make both quite entertaining.
