- Braid, Anniversary Edition is the definitive version of a terrific platformer. This classic title has been enhanced with improved graphics, along with a detailed commentary integrated into the game itself. A lot of effort has been put into building something special, from 2008 until today.
Jemma Casson · Jul 24, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - What makes a must-play game? Is it adding more levels to an already stacked list of platform worlds from which to collect items? Is adding a commentary you can turn on and off at will worth it? How about re-drawn art? All of those things are here, any one of which could be argument enough for the need of a Braid Anniversary Edition. It just happens that Braid Anniversary Edition is a near-perfect way to try out Braid, if you haven’t before. As someone who hasn’t played before this edition, I think this is a great way to introduce yourself to Braid. Everything looks, sounds, and plays great.
Elliot Hilderbrand · May 24, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Braid is a classic, and this edition features beautifully redone art and music, with hours of excellent developer commentary.

Josh Wise · May 22, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Braid returns as that classic indie title where you help a young man survive trials and solve puzzles with a variety of time powers.
Will Quick · May 21, 2024 Reviewed on iOS, AndRead full review - Braid might not be the industry-shaking revolution that it was when it first released, but it still holds up in 2024, with challenging puzzles and a powerful story. The considerable graphical upgrade would make Braid: Anniversary Edition worth the price of admission alone, but the added content is the cherry on top. If nothing else, it's great to have Braid playable on modern platforms, and hopefully, the game is able to find an even larger audience than it did 16 years ago.
Dalton Cooper · May 20, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The significance of Braid has been well documented since 2008 but while the Anniversary Edition's new polish is a welcome addition, it's the hours of commentary providing an extensive deep dive that cement this as a phenomenal, crucial upgrade.
BEN SHEENE · May 18, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - A classic indie game that remains as cleverly unique today as it did 16 years ago, even if none of its original flaws have been ironed out in the meantime.
GameCentral · May 16, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Braid Anniversary Edition is a celebration of the indie title that surprised the industry in 2008. It's also the best version of an incredible platformer. Add extensive commentary to delve into its secrets, and this remaster comes highly recommended
Ravi Sinha · May 14, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Braid was an iconic game for its time and revisiting it has been a treat. Say what you will about its creator, but most of the issues are not present in this package. This is still a game I think about regularly. It really defined a service and elevated indie games to a new level when it came out. Solving these puzzles still felt magical all these years later. If you have never played this title, do not skip it, even if you have it is worth revisiting. There are certain games that feel timeless, and Braid is easily one of those.
