  • Bonkies can be a lot of fun for short bursts of gameplay. Preferably played with a friend or two, the game has a cool, relaxing style where you can enjoy the positive vibes it emanates while trying to defy gravity with building blocks. It’s a rewarding game because it feels like you’re achieving something in a way. Sadly, the gameplay also repeats itself rather fast, as the additions made during your playthrough are not enough to change the simple core gameplay.

  • And that’s pretty much it! Bonkies is a solid multiplayer game. It’s goofy, it’s silly, it’s challenging, and most importantly, it’s fun. Really, the only criticism I can come up with for the game is that it’s not very fun single-player, but in fairness, it’s not really meant to be. So if you’re looking for a couch co-op game to casually play with your friends, Bonkies is an excellent choice.

  • From making you mash a button to unlock levels to the crisp and colourful presentation – this is clearly a title that’s been made with a fair bit of love. It’s a shame then that Bonkies lacks the inspiration to really be a memorable experience, even if it’s a more than serviceable title while you’re playing it. Make sure you have a few friends in tow mind.

  • Fairly small nit-pick aside, Bonkies comes highly recommended, especially if you’ve a house full of gamers that fancy something in the vein of Moving Out! or Overcooked. The action provides plenty of laughs to counter and annoyances, and some of the stage designs will really test even the most ardent of builders.

Bonkies has a place in the party game universe, and it succeeds in making an entertaining night for players that have a good grasp on video games. Unfortunately, for the players looking for a new couch co-op game to play with non-gaming friends, this mayend up being a one and done kind of game.

  • Overall, this isn’t a bad puzzle game. I just wish there was more meat to it. I can’t see myself going back to this game anytime soon.

  • Bonkies is a good enough solo experience that I’ll be more than happy to jump in from time to time whenever I only have a few moments to game, or perhaps as a way to warm up before a night of Warzone or GTA Online. However, you can bet that once I’m able to have people over to my house again, Bonkies will be the first party game of the night that we play. And given its fun factor, possibly the only party game we’ll need.

  • Honestly, there isn't much more to the game than this. You're just building simple structures and hoping the physics don't send it tumbling down. However, if you're looking for a lighthearted, easy-going co-op game, this will scratch that itch.

  • Bonkies can be infuriating and difficult, but it’s also hysterical and a lot of fun, especially if you’re playing with friends. If you’re looking for a new couch co-op title to play that’ll encourage you to work together and exercise your brain matter, Bonkies is well worth a try.

  • Bonkies offers families and friends a hilarious way of playing together through intense cooperation set in the vast unexplored unknown of space. The relaxing background music adds to the overall light-hearted nature of the game, but that’s not to say you can take it easy.
