  At the end of the day, Blockbuster Inc. is too easy to be a fun management game and too underdeveloped to remain entertaining when it comes to making movies. We hope to see this change in the future since the developers seem very open to adding new content and taking feedback into account. For now, however, this might only entertain the most hardcore Tycoon fans.

  Blockbuster Inc. je hra, ktorá vznikla z čistého entuziazmu, no práve málo skúseností s balansovaním manažmentových aspektov a absencia dostatočne motivujúcich misií sa na hre značne podpísali. Nie každému štúdiu sa na prvý pokus podarí vynikajúca hra. A tak ako aj filmové recenzie v hre, aj my musíme konštatovať len mierne nadpriemerný výsledok, čo však ešte neznamená, že sa o pár rokov a hier neskôr nebude Super Sly Fox topiť peniazoch a kupovať iné štúdiá.

  I’m not kidding when I say that the possibilities are endless in Blockbuster Inc. Players have the freedom and tools to create a movie of their dreams. With a large variety of costumes, sets and more at their disposal there are thousands of films to be made here. It can be almost overwhelming if I’m honest, however the game has a great tutorial that will help to ease players into the swing of things. I loved my time with Blockbuster Inc, filled that hole that The Movies had left so long ago. Its awesome to see this underserved genre in gaming seeing a resurgence; Hollywood Animal, Movie Tycoon among others, has fans of movie-making games eating good this year. Don’t sleep on Blockbuster Inc, as the first one out the gate; its an utter blast to play and create movies in this world.

  On top of the mountain, you can gaze at your lands and behold their beauty. But if you’re looking for a greater reward, or a reason to strive further towards the horizon, Blockbuster Inc. won’t quite satisfy your deepest desires. With hearty sim gameplay that still provides plenty of hours of rewarding complexity, it remains a fantastic spiritual successor to The Movies – but it does feel like it should comprise higher mountains to climb.

  While the game isn't quite an Oscar winner, it's certainly good enough to be nominated, bringing a fresh take on classic mechanics in a very satisfying way. It offers so much room for players to be creative, and with future plans for new features and content packs, that potential has even more room to grow. For long-time fans of the genre, Blockbuster Inc. is arguably a must-play, and newcomers will likely find a lot to enjoy too.
