- BF2142 returns with Conquest: Assault, but also an all-new game type called Titan mode. Titans are floating fortresses in the sky, and each team's objective is to take out the opposing team's Titan. The battlefield is surrounded by multiple missile silos, and the most effective way to break down the enemy Titan's shields is by taking and holding these silos. This keeps their payloads targeted at the enemy's Titan, instead of yours.

Game Trailers · Oct 20, 2006 Reviewed on PC - When you get down to it, Battlefield 2142 is a solid entry in the series, as it feels like a slightly more refined version of its popular predecessor. Aside from the new Titan mode, there's not a lot new here, though, so this doesn't feel anywhere quite like the leap that Battlefield 2 represented from its predecessors--it's more akin to what Battlefield: Vietnam was to Battlefield 1942.

Il devra se contenter du statut de meilleur FPS de masse de ces derniers mois, remplaçant aisément ses aînés Battlefield 1942 et Vietnam (tout en étant sans doute moins fun que ce dernier), ce qui n'est déjà pas si mal.

About the game
The year is 2142, and the dawn of a new ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The math is simple and brutal: The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth's population. Some will live, most will die. Players will choose to fight for one of two military superpowers in an epic battle for survival, the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition. Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also do battle using some of the most imposing vehicles known to man. Massive battle Mechs wage fierce combat on the ground, while futuristic aircraft rule the skies. When facing one of these new behemoths, players will need to use their wits and an arsenal of new countermeasures like EMP grenades to level the playing field.
