- Overall, Arcageddon is a super fun, fast-paced rogue-lite shooter with co-operative gameplay and interesting art styles. Run and shoot your way to the top of the leaderboard while jamming to an insane dubstep soundtrack as you take down funFUNco.
Rexifirus Nightshade · Aug 12, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The graphics and sound are of amazingly high quality, resulting in a very good-looking title with an energetic soundtrack and great voice acting. The game is easy to pick up thanks to its simple gameplay and the inclusion of a good tutorial.
MC_JP · Aug 12, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - For a few in-game hours, Arcadegeddon may seem like a loud and gaudy co-op shooter worth a slot in your weekend rotation, but the combination of been-there-done-that objectives, a shallow loot pool, and a grating cast of characters soon unravels what could've been the next standout co-op game from a team otherwise doing well in that space. But this end result merely looks like better games in certain lights. It has aspirations to be many things at once, but Arcadegeddon struggles to formulate its own identity and suffers death by a thousand market research data points.
Mark Delaney · Jul 08, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Arcadegeddon has solid gun play mechanics and a setting that most will appreciate but its generic structure and lack of enemy variety hold it back from truly shining.
John Cantees · Jul 06, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - There are a few bugs, such as the aim assist attaching to a box and drifting the camera, but they are few and far between and aren't a major hindrance to the gameplay. Arcadegeddon is a strong game with a lot to offer and with more to come post-launch, players can expect an ever-growing game that is addicting and easy to jump in and out of.
Jacob Zeranko · Jul 05, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Arcadegeddon is Illfonic's most well-rounded multiplayer title yet, with a fun, engaging core and fast-paced gameplay keeping you going. Its rogue-lite elements don't get in the way, and it's a great game to let loose in with a friend or two. We can take or leave some of the surrounding fluff, like the largely forgettable characters and cosmetics, and there are definitely one or two rough edges. Even so, it's worth jacking into this solid third-person shooter for some scrappy fun.
Stephen Tailby · Jul 05, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Ultimately, Arcadegeddon hits all the right notes when it comes to the gameplay loop, even if originality isn’t its strongest suit. It chases popular trends like roguelike elements, hordes of enemies to take down in co-op, a looter shooter style of progression, and the usual game-as-a-service tricks for long-term engagement.
Győző Baki · Jul 05, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - All in all, Arcadegeddon is a fun, casual rogue-lite where you choose the pace at which you want to play the game. The game’s not worried about players playing in a certain way. And though I wish there were more in terms of enemy types and locations, the game has some of the better boss fights outside of single-player games.
Erickson Melchor · Jul 05, 2022 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Despite legitimate questions around longevity, Arcadegeddon is an absolute blast that takes place across a lush, digital battleground. With the right support, the future should be bright for this one.
Darren Edwards · Sep 08, 2022 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Above all, though, Arcadegeddon is fun. Bright and colourful, charming and replayable, it offers a cathartic thrill while promising to scratch that ever-present loot itch. The soundtrack is mildly irritating and the whole thing smacks a little of focus-grouped cool, but it’s ultimately just good old fashioned violent spectacle.
