  • The second Wario Land homage of recent years tries to outdo Pizza Tower in terms of overly angry protagonists that destroy everything in their path.

  • ANTONBLAST is a sensational Wario style platformer with a flow unlike anything else, but you'll need to put the time in to master it.

  • ANTONBLAST is a game that both embraces and exceeds its inspiration. If you were a fan of Wario Land or even Pizza Tower then you were probably already going to love this, but I can safely say I think you’re going to love it for reasons beyond the games it was inspired by. Its silly, chaotic style will be incredibly approachable for newcomers, and its plethora of extras and collectables will be catnip for fans of the genre. You might even say, ANTONBLAST is a one-Ton Blast!

  • Even at its most difficult and frustrating, I couldn’t stop myself from admiring how well put together every facet of Antonblast is. Its wonderful sense of humour, bright and bombastic style, and endlessly rewarding platforming mechanics make it one of the best platformers I’ve played in years, and is hopefully a strong start to a series I’m dying to see continue. True to its name, it’s a total blast.

  • Antonblast is not only a love letter to the neglected Wario Land series, but it's also a great game in its own right, standing tall with incredible animation, a super distinct visual style, and an overwhelmingly awesome soundtrack. Everything in this game comes together seamlessly, and even if the visuals can be a bit too overstimulating and the bosses aren't much to write home about, the game underneath it all is extremely solid, fun, and frantic. Everything together makes for one of the most fun games I've played this year and an easy recommendation to any platforming fanatic.

  • Antonblast explosively reinvents the destructive energy of Wario Land, delivering high-energy action that has you demolishing levels at speed while also rewarding precise play with a serious sense of momentum. Boss fights slow the pace a bit, but this is a front-to-back thrillride that you'll keep coming back to master.

  • A bit of confusion or frustration, though, is a very small price to pay for the giddy creativity on display throughout Antonblast. Indeed, a single level like the Mad Mall feels more inventive—between you having to scramble through a ball pit maze, race on a Segway-like device, and solve a shooting gallery puzzle—than the entirety of other platformers. And you don’t need a magic mirror to tell you how priceless that sort of novelty is.
