  • The Amnesia games are some of the best horror titles to ever be released, but things have moved on and its dated graphics, lack of polish and some performance issues hinder the Nintendo Switch release. Ultimately, however, if you are a fan of horror games, the package is worth it alone just to play The Dark Descent, one of the most influential games of the past ten years. Just be aware that, as the darkness in these games, time has not been its friend.

  • Overall, I was extremely pleased and delighted to replay one of my favorite horror games and also experience for the first time the sequel and standalone called Justine. The mix of scary atmospheres and ear-tickling sounds play a great part in what makes a horror game.

  • Amnesia: Collection is a must have for horror fans. The game’s performance remains on point throughout, and although the visuals are somewhat dated, this surprisingly adds to the game’s eeriness in the grand scheme of things. The bottom line here is that for its asking price, you’re getting plenty of terrifying content in return, content that’s arguably a staple for survival horror as we know it.

  • Almost everything worth saying has already been said about the Amnesia games and people have been saying these things for years. That might be indicative of the problem, though. That stuff was said years ago, in a different time. I don’t like raining on anyone’s parade but it seems hard to believe that anyone will be scared by this stuff these days. It’s all so… hokey.

  • It’s just a shame that none of the games have been enhanced for the PS4 in any meaningful way and that there are no additional extras included to sweeten the deal. Even as straight-up ports though, if you don’t own a PC and have never played any of the Amnesia titles before, the Amnesia: Collection presents the perfect time to jump in and experience the best kind of terror; that which crawls under your skin and leaves you with an uneasy feeling of dread.

Amnesia Collection is a nice package for those that never played any of these entries, and for $29.99 I consider it a great deal. Even for veterans of the franchise, this isn’t a bad way to relive the experience all over again and gain trophies in the process. It’s a given that a ton of players have already experienced what the majority of this package contains but for those that missed out on the sequel, or perhaps somehow the entire package, Amnesia the collection is highly recommended for PS4.

  • At the end of the day, Amnesia Collection is more a port of two games and one piece of DLC (about 20+ hours of gameplay) rather than a proper compilation. There aren’t any extra features and nothing has really been remastered. That being said, the quality of the games and the fact that (some) console players can now experience these titles does a lot to redeem the lack of new content.

  • Overall, if you’re a PlayStation 4 owner and a fan of survival horror games, you really owe it to yourself to pick up this set. While the concessions the sequel made are no doubt disappointing for those looking for a challenge, Amnesia: Collection is a nightmarish trio of games that those eager for a gripping horror experience won’t soon forget.

  • Despite some of its flaws and showing of age, Amnesia Collection is a great compilation of titles from a horror series that many newer horror games owe their own scares to. Though many of those games may be considered subjectively scarier than Amnesia, there’s a certain special spark that each Amnesia game ignites, unique as every one may be.

  • Amnesia is a horror classic that has lost a little of its bite over the years, but can still provide some genuine scares. Performance issues do bring this version down, but the games are still worth experiencing for new players.
