i was bored, so i decided to try this as this was on xboxgamepass, as soon as I opened up the game, I looked through the achievements this game has to offer. And i was blowed away on how easy the achievements were to get. Each giving 100g points each, there are 10 in total. So 1000g points in total for only 10 minutes of your time.

Townscaper is a building game where you place blocks and blocks to form a building, it sounds confusing but if you watch gameplay or even try it yourself, you'll see that placing blocks that will form into a building, isn't very hard. It's super simple and fun. The game can last you about 10-15 minutes for you to get all the achievements. After that you could still play the game, building cities of different colours, building floating cities, gardens, churches, lighthouse etc.

The graphics are very nice and simple, nothing bad and nothing good. There are night and day system, you can change it in the settings. Setting-wise, there isn't much to talk about. There are grid system which shows “grids” which makes it easier to block and shows the shape of which you can place the blocks, It's used to find a perfect circle and making a floating island, which is an achievement.

And while i was reading other people's review on Townscaper, a person mentioned that you can play townscaper demo on the web browser. And decided to try it. And wow, it actually works. It takes a while to load it in onto your browser, but it's worth the wait if you're looking to try the game out without buying the game. And now that i think about it, the browser version of the game is basically the same thing as the original game. Except for the achievements' thing, and it doesn't save. I actually had a few minutes of fun, without thinking about achievements. I just built a colourful city, combining of gardens and bridge and connects to a castle. And some buildings has different colours to indicate which district is whose.

It's a fun and simple building game for all ages. And i'm thankful for getting 1000g points. :) Worth trying, it's on pc, mobile and consoles (except for playstation).

Build quaint island towns with curvy streets. Build small hamlets, soaring cathedrals, canal networks, or sky cities on stils. Block by block.No goal. No real gameplay. Just plenty of building and plenty of beauty. That's it. Townscaper is an experimental passion project. More of a toy than a game. Pick colors from the palette, plop down colored blocks of house on the irregular grid, and watch Townscaper's underlying algorithm automatically turn those blocks into cute little houses, arches, stairways, bridges and lush backyards, depending on their configuration.
